Simon's Town Treasures

We got to see a little more of the beautiful country today since the campus was closed for holiday. Today is Freedom Day, which marks the anniversary of free elections where all citizens can vote regardless of color. I've asked around to see how South Africans celebrate, but apparently its more of a day off work than a big celebration day, no fireworks or anything. Penguins and seals were a pretty fun way to celebrate though! We spent the day in Simon's Town, first with a trip to Boulder Beach to see some penguins and then took a boat ride out to Seal Island.
